Identifying power output reduction in solar power plants using the Delfos platform

The Context
At a large solar power plant, an unexpected drop in energy output was observed from one of the inverters (Inverter No. 14). Although the equipment did not trigger any alarms or warnings, the plant's output was below expectations. Initially, the technical team was unable to identify the exact cause of the issue. The Delfos platform quickly detected that Inverter No. 14 was recording the highest temperature among all the units, pointing to possible operational power derating—an automatic reduction in power output caused by overheating. This phenomenon can result from ventilation system failures or adverse environmental conditions—situations common in outdoor installations.
